My name is Cresencia Kerr, and I am proud to be an Elementary ​Teacher at Waikoloa Elementary and Middle School! I am from Hawai’i ​and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and have my Special ​Education endorsement. This will be my first year teaching. I am so ​excited to welcome you into our classroom! I have a passion for working ​with our future generation and helping all children reach their potential. ​I cannot wait to have you in this class! Be Polite

Be Safe looks like 4 on the floor (all 4 legs of the chair on the floor), Hands and feet to yourself, Use materials appropriately, and Walk in the hallways and classrooms.


Be Polite looks like using kind words, using your manners (saying Please and Thank You), and Respecting adults.

Be Respectful


Be Responsible (Be Prepared)

Be Respectful looks like using your inside voice, using kind words and actions to all, following directions from all adults, listening to others while they are speaking, and working quietly and do not disturb others.


Be Responsible looks like being prepared for class, turning in your homework or assignments, paying attention in class, making sure the desk area is cleaned, and focusing on what you can control.



Try Your Best


Work as a Team

Try your best looks like staying focused, completing assigned work, participating in class, and taking your time on tests.


Working as a Team looks like using kind and polite words, taking turns, including all team members, encouraging teammates, and collaborating.

Morning Arrival:

Raise your hand; wait for the teacher to nod, say yes, or no; walk to the bathroom quietly; use expected behavior; voice off; wash your hands; return to class and begin working

Grab student’s attention; wait for name to be ​called; line up on line dots silently; heads behind ​heads with eyes facing forward; hands to self; and ​walking feet, voice is at a 0

Greet teacher at the door; turn in work (Thursday ​Envelope) if there is any; backpacks in cubby, ​water bottles by cubby; get ready for the start of ​the day (pencil); do morning buzz or worksheet

    1. Students will receive a verbal compliment when they exemplify expected ​behavior
  2. Phone call home
    1. Students will receive a phone call home when they earn 3 stars for ​outstanding behavior or actions
  3. Kerr Treasure Box
    1. Students will be able to go to Kerr’s Treasure Box when they have helped the ​teacher or have done something I believe is extraordinary
  4. Stickers
    1. Students will earn a sticker when they have displayed our classroom ​expectations
  5. Helping distribute materials
    1. Students will be rewarded with helping the teacher pass out work when I have ​seen phenomenal behavior being displayed

Negative Consequences

  1. Verbal reminder of rules/warning
    1. Students will be given a verbal reminder of the rules/expectations when they are not being followed.
  2. Private Conversation
    1. Students will have a private conservation with me when they have received more than 2 verbal reminders of the class rules or expectations
  3. Small privilege temporarily revoked
    1. A small privilege will be temporarily revoked when a student continues to not follow the directions, such as loss of school iPad or free time.
  4. Phone call home or email to parent/adult
    1. There will be a phone call home or email sent when a student has 3 warnings during one day
  5. Written Referral
    1. A written referral will be completed when a student has violated class or school expectations / rules.
