Meet the Teacher
Teacher Name
My name is Cresencia Kerr, and I am proud to be an Elementary Teacher at Waikoloa Elementary and Middle School! I am from Hawai’i and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and have my Special Education endorsement. This will be my first year teaching. I am so excited to welcome you into our classroom! I have a passion for working with our future generation and helping all children reach their potential. I cannot wait to have you in this class! The Goal of Ms. Kerr’s Classroom
Our classroom is a community of learning that appreciates diversity and creativity. It is a safe place, where everyone works together and is respectful. All students will participate and try their very best each and every day.

Be Polite
Be Safe looks like 4 on the floor (all 4 legs of the chair on the floor), Hands and feet to yourself, Use materials appropriately, and Walk in the hallways and classrooms.
Be Polite looks like using kind words, using your manners (saying Please and Thank You), and Respecting adults.
Be Respectful
Be Responsible (Be Prepared)
Be Respectful looks like using your inside voice, using kind words and actions to all, following directions from all adults, listening to others while they are speaking, and working quietly and do not disturb others.
Be Responsible looks like being prepared for class, turning in your homework or assignments, paying attention in class, making sure the desk area is cleaned, and focusing on what you can control.
Try Your Best
Work as a Team
Try your best looks like staying focused, completing assigned work, participating in class, and taking your time on tests.
Working as a Team looks like using kind and polite words, taking turns, including all team members, encouraging teammates, and collaborating.

Raise your hand; wait for the teacher to nod, say yes, or no; walk to the bathroom quietly; use expected behavior; voice off; wash your hands; return to class and begin working
Grab student’s attention; wait for name to be called; line up on line dots silently; heads behind heads with eyes facing forward; hands to self; and walking feet, voice is at a 0
Greet teacher at the door; turn in work (Thursday Envelope) if there is any; backpacks in cubby, water bottles by cubby; get ready for the start of the day (pencil); do morning buzz or worksheet
